Like people collect stamps, coins, antiques and so on, I collect resources for webmasters and blogmasters to promote their website/blogs.

I derive great pleasure while doing so and most of the times, my posts regarding such resources were received with gratitude and appreciation.

Here is one:

Uvouch.com gives you one easy web site where users can search for the best in online videos and websites, collect the videos and links to sites, create playlists of their favorites and organize their collection.

I keep myself updated about the latest developments in web 2.0 technology. Uvouch.com
is a step ahead of others in the same field with extraordinary new features in adding and sharing video rolls.

The interface for users is very easy; they say that their search engine that scours the web, looking for the videos and websites desired. Uvouch.com’s features include one-click video importing, one-click link importing, custom playlists, customizable tags, a user-driven search engine, message boards and tools to share your favorite videos and links directly from your personal website or blog.

This website is owned by an Indian residing in Australia.
My gratitude to him.

Similicious search engine.

Do you know Yoono tool bar? It is a very interesting tool especially for internet researchers and content developers(like me!).

When installed, this browser tool bar displays links to web sites that are similar to the one that you are browsing at that time. The display is scrolling along side in a seperate box.

For the same purpose, one can also use the web 2.0 search engines is called  Similicio.

If you copy and paste a url in the search window, it will produce similar websites in its search results.

For example, I searched for similicio.us websites itself and I saw several similar websites including delicio.us, digg, digglicious.com etc.

But when I entered the url of my own general web directory, it said ‘no matching’ websites were found. This is strange and I am not convinced. My web directory has PR4 and attracts 600 unique visitors daily.

The search engine may recognize only very popular websites only. But then attracting 600 daily visitors can also be called popular?
