What will be your reaction when a celebrity that you wanted to meet for so long, suddenly requests an appointment to come to your home? You would be thrilled without inhibitions.
This happened to me a month ago. The cinema star happened to go to my friend’s office to fix up her blog. She was offered herbal tea that was brewed in the office itself. When she saw the beautiful looking tea kettle, she was captivated with its color and ergonomic design. She learnt from her host that it is a product from the house of Le Creuset.
Till then, she never heard of le creuset cookware. Her host (my blogger friend) also could not enlighten her more on the matter. That is when she learnt that the tea kettle was a gift from me. On the spot, she called me to inquire if I am willing to receive her in my office.
She came as promised and went about her business straightway by pointing to the same tea kettle on the mini kitchen counter. Though I was slightly disappointed that she was actually not interested in me (what an ego!), I did entertain her for 15 minutes.
The last time I threw a party was a failure because the professional freelance cook made a mess of the two outdoor electric grills. I accepted the feedback from my friends with open mind. Yes, especially the grilled cottage cheese was awesome. I could have done it myself as usual.
Since the number of participants exceeded my expectation, I hired a cook so that I could spend more time with the guests. I took special care to organize the beach party with a magic show and a few fun filled games.
The cook produced good references that spoke about his skills with grills. However, it seemed it was just not his day.
Much later, he confided that he was new with electric grills. I took pity on him and taught him how to cook elephant yams in electric grill. It is a secret recipe, which you can’t find it even in the Internet.
