I rarely use Digg but I use ‘others’ quite often. I think I am doing the other way around since Digg’s popularity cannot be compared over ‘others’.
BTW, who are the ‘others’?
The ‘others’ are sites with similar concepts (social news) though they are trying in vain to outclass the might Digg.
The ‘others’ I use most are:
- Mixx.com
- Propeller.com
- Slashdot.org(I heard it is losing its popularity)
- StumbleUpon.com
- Fark.com
- Reddit.com
- Del.icio.us
- Simpy.com
Here is an in depth traffic analysis of all the above.

Blog Automator is an automatic blog building software which when configured will create blog on the topics you choose automatically.
I don’t how far this software will be manageable by beginner blogger but I heard that this software comes video tutorial.
But blogs built on autopilot may be called spam blog (Splogs) as they pull content from RSS Feeds thus blogs built by this software lack originality.
I know a few people are using this software to create blogs and put in Google AdSense to earn money. I wonder who will visit these blogs!

Writing something about your blog and promote it through press release is an effective way to brand your blog.
We as blog owners can utilize the services of press release for free to build readership and most importantly valuable one way backlinks.
10 minute break is one such site that also serves as a social bookmarking service.
Somehow, I am not satisfied with this one due to reasons being lack of details, no information about the promoter of the site etc.
